Privacy Policy

When you upload a paper for review:

• We do not use your submission to train our AI models.
• Your file is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and held in access-controlled storage.
• Your manuscript is stored in your private account so you can revisit its reviews, chat with the expert panel, and export reports. It remains there until you delete it.
• When you delete a paper (or your account), the data is removed from our live systems immediately. Copies may persist in our encrypted backups for a short rolling window (currently up to 4 days) before being purged automatically.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, and profile picture).
• Session Cookie: A single authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, such as feature usage and session duration.
• Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain our services.
• Process your transactions.
• Send you administrative updates and support messages.
• Improve our platform's performance and user experience.

We implement industry-standard security measures - encryption in transit, access controls, firewalled infrastructure, and encrypted backups - to protect your personal information and research data.

We rely on a small set of service providers to run the platform:

• OpenRouter: routes manuscript content to the AI models that generate your reviews. Requests are made under API terms that do not permit training on your data.
• Document parsing service: your uploaded file is sent to our parsing service to extract its text and structure before review.
• Stripe: payment processing and invoicing.
• Resend: transactional email (receipts, review notifications, support replies).
• Amazon Web Services: hosting, file storage (e.g., profile pictures), and encrypted backups.
• Google:optional "Continue with Google" sign-in.

You can delete any uploaded manuscript and its reviews from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, or to request a copy of the data we hold about you, contact us at support@paperscore.io and we will process the request promptly.
